No telly tonight; my right ear is playing up, the way they do sometimes, with a slight swelling of the canal meaning the hearing aid doesn’t quite fit. This results in it repeatedly feeding back, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, but always annoyingly

Instead, I read a few more of the stories in The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes (I’ve only just noticed that “case-book” is hyphenated in the title)

    Goodnight all

Today I’m going to build a new bird box to replace one that has fallen apart.
Need to walk The Dog (tw) first.

          CBS, etc.

                  Fook me it's hot out!

Had a nice lie in. It was lovely to be back in my own bed, I must say.

Parentals finally noticed I'd left them an answerphone message when I got home yesterday and called me back. They're all doing ok. My Dad got two offers on my Nan's flat so hopefully that will all go through without incident.

All this talk of property over the past few months has made me wonder if I should look to buy something. To that end, I have been heavily indulging in property porn of late in the hope that I can find something suitable where I'd like to live.

So this afternoon I took a walk to Fulham as Mirabel Road has three garden flats up for sale. I am not 100% convinced but I reckon a proper viewing would be worthwhile.

We still call them “sheds” up here, but our property market isn’t as sophisticated as London’s
