Oh and morning.
Nice blue sky but feels like autumn outside.

Morning denizens
Grey out, a bit chilly at 11°C (which I'm pretty certain is going down - sure it was 12° half-an-hour ago), and a high likelihood of rain starting soon and carrying on into the night![]()
I need to venture to the post office again!
At least it gets me out of the flat. I may go to one further away to get more of a walk in.
Although, looking at the meetings I have today, I'm not sure when I'll have time. Whilst the journey is a known duration, the queue is not!
Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.
The insomnia struck again, so I was reading about the Battle of Kursk at 03:50 this morning.
Sleep returned at 05:55ish.
Morning all

Morning all.
Grey, dull, generally horrible.
And that's before we get to the weather.
Contractor Among Contractors
I have a call later where I get to explain to a PM and her boss why the extra resource they've engaged to be a "technical lead" for a migration project we're planning is a. unnecessary and b. not part of the currently agreed process for using a 3rd party for running all migration work. Sadly said resource will be on the call.
This is what happens when PMs jump and do things without asking any of the people actually involved in the initial planning, design and handover of work, but just keep repeating the same mistakes from previous projects.
I'm not wasting my time handing over anything to a guy whose technical knowledge is basically zero and who isn't part of any agreed process for the work. If they push it I might just say tulip it and walk.
Pissing down now.
And as grey as grey can be in a grey grey gray way.
When the fun stops, STOP.
