Dull and overcast but dry at the moment. Currently 5 degrees with an expected high of 9. Almost certain to rain this morning but allegedly the sun will make an appearance around lunch time.

Rain overnight as predicted, and a fair bit of it by the look of the puddles, but sunny now with high, thin, wispy bits of cloud hanging around

Trip to the Post Office to buy TV Times completed.
Since it's sunny and the foot is strapped up, walked up the hill to inspect the drains.
Drain at bottom of hill blocked with leaves: cleared the grid successfully.
Drain at top of hill blocked with leaves: ditto
River of water descending from the culvert a quarter of a mile up the hill, confirmed that culvert is blocked & duly reported.
Foot hurts now.
No good deed should go unpunished.
Still sunny, though the clouds seem to be gathering.
