Had a late lunch - more at teatime, really - of pâté on toast, because the pâté Needed To be Eaten today

Off to the Chinese in a bit, to make up for not going there yesterday

The roast pork will have to wait until tomorrow.

Intended to go for a walk but the sky was looking threatening so I gardened instead.

More of the honeysuckle hedge thing hacked down.

Two dead tree branches removed so they can't fall on the garage.

Currently watching the Oak Island nutjobs.

They've spent CDN$2M and found some more rocks and some lumps of wood.

Sounds like a good investment to me.

This was preceded by "Lethal Weapon(1987)" with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.

            Lethal Weapon (1987) - IMDb

            It was pretty good.

Thought the sniper rifle was a bit light calibre though.

            Hurrah!

            They've just found some wood.

            Feck me.

Now there's a great debate about what to do next.

Which will be resolved next week, when we find a coin.

            The excitement is palpable.

Or not as the case may be.

And very nice it was, as usual

Having to plan my meals quite carefully for the rest of the week as I'm off to London on Thursday for a Django user group meeting that night and a conference on Friday, coming back Saturday. So I need to make sure everything's finished by Thursday lunchtime

I don't envy you the stress and responsibility of all that, - good luck!

Tonight’s entertainment came from The Counsellor (2013), specifically the Extended Cut thereof. A pretty good, stylish yet gritty thriller about a lawyer getting mixed up with them there Mexican cartels. More talking than action, but when the action comes it’s often pretty gruesome.

                      Sunny this morning in Manchester.

Bit on the chilly side but it may warm up.
