To be fair, probably the reason no-one cares about a 10k is because we had this post before. NAT will never be forgiven for his persecution of Zeity.

I do wish he would return - even as a sockie.

It would be nice to have Zeity back.

As for Brillo, the last sight I had of him was at full zoom, which is when windage comes into play...
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

        I miss Zeity.

Re Brillo, why do you take a picture before shooting? Or was it a camera-gun combo?

Just heard that an old friend of mine who lived round the corner died a few days ago in hospital

                      pronunciation of Tacolneston is
Tackleston; a lot of these East
                      Anglian names such as Wymondham,
                      Hunstanton and Stiffkey form pitfalls
                      for the unwary.
However, if the name of Tacolneston
is to be used much by B.B.C. announcers the pronunciation " Tack - leston " will soon be forgotten, even by the local yokels. Who now ever talks of Danetree since the B.B.C.
                      started calling it Daventry thirty
years ago? Danetree is as dead as Sissister for Cirencester although the
                      B.B.C. wasn't responsible for that.
But the all- powerful Corporation has even varied the pronunciation of
                      Newmarket by stressing the first
syllable instead of the second, a thing
which in Edwardian days was only
                      done by ignorant " Lunnon folk ";
                      nowadays even the oldest inhabitant
                      knows no better.
Probably the best way of preserving
                      the time -honoured pronunciation
of place names from the ravages
                      caused by the sacrilegious tongues
of B.B.C. announcers would be to amend the spelling before it is too
late. This was done long ago in the case of Brighton with the result that
it is still pronounced as it was in the
days when it was spelt Bright - helmstone.
                      Danetree?

I'd heard of Sissister for Cirencester, but Danetree for Daventry?

                      How the language has changed.
