So time for a coffee n smoke.

Sunny but the wind is chilly.

So I suppose you could say it's nice out of the wind.

Nothing else planned so will offer myself up to the magic rectangle and hope for inspiration.

Dunno what the mushrooms are good for but I had some anyway.

Beef was nicely roasted & not too overdone.

It's only the pepper and the horseradish sauce that give anything a flavour.

Being a bit too venturesome with the latter tends to blow one's head off.

Nearly time for the Sunday afternoon shop.

Looks like a nice afternoon for it.

        The weather really is borked.

I, too, have the joys of a commute tomorrow.

And the expedition to Tesco & Morrisons has been successfully completed.

Though I've forgotten quite why I needed more mushrooms.

Anyway I forgot to buy any.

I think I'll mow the lawns next.

Or, more to the point, the moss.

They were waffling on about moss in lawns on GQT earlier.

Which came from The Gower, apparently.

It may have been all sunny and that, but it hasn't been very warm. I left the kitchen window open all afternoon and now it's really chilly in there

Not sure why it never lets any cool air in when the place is baking hot in the summer

Too bad, - i love sweet chestnuts.
never knew they existed until i moved south that loooong time ago, and was confronted by a ruffian with a brazier outside Finsbury Park underground on a cold November evening, hawking brown paper bags of them, roasted.
                      delicious!
