    Afternoon denizens

"Mostly cloudy" out, it seems; but dry and, if anything, a little too warm

The poor dear must be exhausted now.

The urge to move somewhere else where I might be less irritated by it is getting stronger and stronger.

It galls me that anyone would take so little pride in things.

It's like living next door to somewhere that keeps coal in the fecking bath.

Where else would one keep it?

in other news, it's not really fun sending sh1t to someone by post, when they've actually ASKED you to do so.

Tea/dinner this evening was a Ginsters Cornish Pasty.

          It was very nice.

Jobs you wish you'd never started:

The livingroom light flickers at about 21:00 every evening, but to make sure there wasn't a loose connection in the fitting I decided to have a look inside.

Getting it off was difficult, getting the fecking thing back on worse.

I couldn't understand all the bits of packing (i.e. folded up bits of cardboard until I attempted to get the damn thing back on.

          Ill designed barely covers it.

It's hanging on by a thread at the moment and we'll see later this evening if the connections are better now there's crimps on the fecking things.

It'll have to come off again tomorrow so I can fix it back up properly.

Of course it could just be the bulb.

Not long until they leave the lunar surface

The cloud's got a bit thicker here, which has kept the temperature under control. Apparently the coming week is going to be hellish, though at least it's no longer forecast to be quite as bad as they were saying a few days ago

Still working my way through this Django stuff…

                It's not flickering yet.

                But then it's 19:43 not 21:00

dinner has been another steak with chips and 'shrooms.
                  and horseradish.
                  and a nice merlot.

                  very good, i thought.

getting annoyed at yankee astronauts on the smithsonian channel, batting on about 'zero gravity'.

It's got very windy out there now. No sign of any rain, sadly
