    Yay arrived at Heathrow!

A little late but not overly so. Now in a cab heading home, quick turnaround and then back out again

Dunno how you manage it. I feel totally fecked; I was just thinking what a shame it is that it’s too early to go to sleep

I wish I could lie and say "all the above".

But it was just black ice. I always take quiet routes. I was first of the day.

Luckily I wear a helmet or it could have been serious.

I hate being old. 40 years ago I would have bounced back up and just carried on.

tell me about it. it took me a bloody month to get over my little incident.
I have been back to thank the tree for being so bushy, springy and shock absorbing.

well, just rest up and recover.
see how much you can milk the sympathy thing at home, with the personal service etc.

Which is more than can be said for the walk there and back; a very soggy affair

When I came back there was an ambulance parked on the zigzags outside next-door-but-one, facing down the road. There’s still an ambulance there, possibly the same one, but now it’s facing up the road
