Spent the last hour torturing a parking charge company as I lost the ticket between me leaving the car park and their initial claim.

They don't seem to like it when you point out the charge is disputed, you won't use the appeal system (I can't as I wrote the software POPLA uses (not all of it, just the if this then do that bit) and would happily see them in court where I can see the information they won't give me due to "privacy".

The best bit is adding the hourly rate I will use for handling all debt agency enquiries - they can't argue the point when I start billing them.

Hopefully that's the end of it but at least I now have my template for the next time I screw up.

I really don't understand how people cope with airports more than 10 minutes from home where the staff don't know you by your first name.

I hope the person they are collecting was an urgent case and hadn't booked their appointment 3 weeks ago.

Maybe it's because they waited three weeks for an appointment that an ambulance is now needed

I've been trying to make an appointment for a fortnight.

              In with the hoi polloi.

Not terribly busy in here this morning, which is surprising since it's Universal Credit computer teaching day for the uninitiated.

Oh how I don't miss the need for that.

I don't it's 5 miles away and the flights arrive and leave in the opposite direction to my house...

I go back roads to Gatwick. It’s a breeze from home.

... speaking of breezes, landing in Cork during Storm Brendan was interesting. The wind here is so bad they can’t offload our bags from the plane. They are now towing it to a hangar to get the bags off!
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore
