Canadian mapping stuff has managed to secure some more funding for the new financial year

Only ten hours allocated to me this month, but every little helps

The afternoon freecell score before gardening: 88%, running average 83%.

Another 4 x 8 feet of ground cleared.

Some of it was under Ye Giante Heape of Crappe last year and is like iron since I never got around to forking it all.

Aside from anything else I was afraid of spearing a toad or two.

My dermatitis is going great guns despite slathering assorted emollients on the hands.

Tea: the last of the batch of chilli con carne from 4 or 5 weeks ago.

The sojourn in the freezer had brought out the fierceness of the chilli & no mistake.

Followed by orange segments & custard, rather unpleasantly pippy sort of orange.

0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: John Ronson's commentary on "The Men Who Stare at Goats", followed by The Sewer Men, assuming it's on today, which it wasn't yesterday.

In other news, the jackdaws are tap dancing on the chimney again.

owing to the sainsburys delivery, dinner has been a pukka steak pie.
              with chips and peas.
and a nice Rioja, as usual.
              exceedingly tasty.

and now more murdurs <och, jean!>

Dinner was calves liver with crispy hispi cabbage, other roasted veg and spuds. Washed down with a merlot. Although I did make the obligatory Chianti joke.

I don't suppose you need the subtitles.

Not as funny without the fava beans.

                      It's time for Sewer Men.
