Tea: spag bol with the freshly made bol from earlier, orange segments and custard, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

    Entertainment:

HSB S6 E20 "Look Homeward, Ninja"

    HSB S6 E21 "Slum Enchanted Evening "

HSB S6 E22 "Come and Get It "

It's true that S6 and S7 aren't nearly as good as 1 through 5, presumably due to the dismissal of Mr Bochco, though Buntz & Sid do liven stuff up a bit.

Much but it's actually going quite smoothly for a change

Now I've said that, I suppose it'll all go terribly wrong

Entertainment (continued): Sounds of the 70s on Yesterday.

Just had The Eagles which was ok, now Hall and Oates which is muted.

Nice to see Whispering Bob Harris in his prime.

And the Eric Idle spoof of same.

Then Eric Clapton, followed by Dire Straits.

The next ep is punk so I won't be watching that.

Next I think will be Churchill's mistress, followed by The Friends of Eddie Coyle on Talking Pictures.

And very nice it was - the food, not the mask

              Busy?

              Not busy?

Eddit Coyle is doing his thing.

I see that Apocalypse Now never ending version 2019 is on BBC2.

Oh good. In the middle of "The friends of Eddie Coyle" we have a trail for, wait for it, "The friends of Eddie Coyle" which starts at 21:00.

It's not going to end well.

              All coppers are bastards.

"Busy earlier, but not so much now" was the official report. No speculation was offered as to any wider circumstances that might have led to this state of affairs

A couple of rewatches tonight, starting with 13 Hours (2016), based on the true story of the unfortunate series of events that happened to US personnel in Libya in the aftermath of the overthrow of Gaddafi a few years ago. A lot of firefights and explosions mingled with backstory; serviceable enough for what it is.

And then Contact (1997), which does leave a few loose ends dangling, such as why didn't they send another person through the machine, given that it wasn't damaged at all when Jodie Foster's character went through it? But it's pretty good really, and the idea that a female scientist would either have the credit of her discoveries stolen by men or have to deal with men suggesting she was mentally ill when they couldn't steal her credit is realistic enough

                Goodnight all

                  Morning all

Woke up in pain from yesterday’s redecorating. More to come today, after taking The Dog (tw) for a walk.

                    Morning all

                    Dry.

                    Sunless.

                    White sky.

                    Black sky to the south.

Slept reasonably well aside from the nightmare about starting at uni yet again.

Fed up with that one now.

It had a very unusual library and I couldn't find the electronic engineering books.

I was heading for failure yet again.

                    <hiatus>

                    <taps screen>

                    It's fecked again.

Shoulder of lamb roasting, veg prepared, just figured out why I've got so much milk: no rice pud.

Vac roughly run around the bits of floor I can see.
