Need to do a more detailed recce of the area to make sure all required amenities are catered for.
Can your car fit in the garage?

Can you open the driver's door with your car in the garage?

Most old garages can only fit in a Fiat 500 sized car properly.

That will be one of the checks to be made

If I'm allowed to keep my parking permit then I'm ok with continuing to park on the street and using the garage as tat storage as that'll mean I can get rid of my storage cupboard up the road.

The afternoon was occupied by shifting stuff to and from the garage:

          To whit:

Next door's spare crockery that I stuck down there nearly 2 years ago to protect it from the building oiks.

Naturally enough not a word of thanks or even acknowledgement.

My cheapjack B&Q drill press (Chinese crap) and B&Q bench grinder (Chinese crap) from the shed to the garage, thusly making space for the crockery which got transferred, during which I discovered the mouse nest.

The Lidl(tm) lamp on a stand thing required a screw drilling out which took a while.

After all the excitement, had a nice bonfire to get rid of some decayed cardboard used to be boxes, the fortnight's burnable crap, and the stuff that's been drying nicely in the greenhouse.

The new neighbour's asked if they could burn stuff on it too, so that's what they did.

It was raining a bit while I was burning stuff, but later the heavens opened and we had an impressive rainstorm.

Tea: the last of the roast beef, stewed pears sans custard, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

Entertainment: The commentary track of Alien Resurrection, vaguely inneresting.

Now: War Factories: The First Giants. WWI shell factories.

The hidden history of explosions et al.

          Next: 5+1: Walking Roman Roads:

          Then: 5+1: Brunel building Britain.

The Roman Road thing isn't gripping me this week.

Tonight is curry night: chicken jalfrezi (out of the freezer), with the usual rice and naan. Very tasty
