      Shopping shopped.

      Walk walked.

      Shower showered.

Tea: Ginsters' Moroccan vegan pasty, very nice, three bramble jelly sandwiches, red corner yog, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

      Entertainment: AVP (mediocre IIRC).

Oak Island nutjobs on Blaze at 21:00 wherein "we" find stuff in assorted odd places.
      When the fun stops, STOP.

        Wine, wine'd. Chenin and Bubbles.

        Australia MasterChef on catch-up.

              Watching BBC iPlayer - McQueen

Sen it before but it's very good. All about the designer Alexander McQueen, where he came from, how he started out. The days leading up to and the impact of his suicide. I got something in my eye when I first watched it.

I thought AVP rather less mediocre than on its previous viewing.

It was ok in its way.

The disadvantage of the cassette was the inability to FF/skip the trailers as one does with a dvd.

Currently watching a thing about mammoths on BBC4.

The Oak Island nutjobs have found wood at 51 feet and 55 feet in a drill hole at Smith's Cove.

Said wood being of similar type to the slipway in the cove that they found last year.

They're looking for wood. (Aren't we all?).

They want to drain the swamp.

Using the bladder system they tried in Smith's Cove.

Meanwhile, our Gary is metal detecting on Lot 21.

                Finds a victorian ha'penny.

Then finds sommat else but we dunno what as yet.

It's a leaf brooch thing, covered in tulipe.

And off they go to Acadia Uni to see wtf the thing is.

Being cleaned with a glass fibre brush (which is termed "mild").

It looks a lot more impressive with the crap cleaned off it.

Ah. Now they're in the Mug & Anchor pub.

                Very sensible.

The leaf has 13 branches which is "significant".

The C14 date on the above mentioned wood is 1735 to 1770ish.

                And that's it.

                More stuff found next week.

Tea has been a healthy dish of gammon, fried eggs, chips and beans. Very nice indeed

I've had enough of the day and am a bit fed up so I'll probably do the washing up and then go to bed.

Oh bugrit. I haven't made the effing bed yet.

So - washing up, make the bed, shower, go to bed.
