After a morning of blue skies, it's clouding over here

Chance of rain tonight and tomorrow morning

Just had a message from Son. His works Dell laptop shut itself down and then started updating itself. Same symptoms as they had with a major virus outbreak a while back that he didn't get caught by.

      Phoned the service desk.

"Not a problem" says the helpdesk guy.

"Have you got any Xmas decorations up yet?"

      "Err, yes?" says Son.

"Switch them off" says helpdesk guy.

"OK..." says Son, but does as requested.

      Laptop starts working again.

Turns out yesterday was the fifteenth anniversary of Charlie the Unicorn!

            CHRISTMAS IS CANCELLED!

Well, postponed to Easter at any rate

It seems my brother has decided that it's too risky and thinks my idea of a postponement is the right one, and as everybody always defers to him, it looks like it's a done deal

Can you interfere with MrsB's laptop and maybe use that as an excuse with her?

                      Cottons in the WM.

Shirts out of the TD and roughly ironed, or as ironed as they're likely to get, thencely hung on hangers and airing on the picture rail in the back bedroom.

<hiatus while the TD generates random numbers>

Cottons out of the TD into the washing basket and thence to the floor of the hall since I can't be arsed to walk upstairs again to hang them over the banisters.

Bit more concreting done in the tin shed.

Not sure quite how much more I can be arsed to do.

I suppose I'd better finish it off more or less properly.

Tea (once I've recovered from the day's exertions): non chunky Tesco breaded haddock, stewed pears and custard, 0.91 pints of good Glengettie tea.

                      When the fun stops, STOP.
