They can afford it (training) as it is a government backed and guaranteed loan. And a nurse may well not pay it all back. The student loan break-even salary = £27,500 | AJ Bell
It is a deferred taxation.
The alternative to the student paying it is for the tax payer to pay for it. How fair...

And the grants. You had to have business premises for that but it was free cash....

you accepted risks when you incorporated. You're a business owner. You expect to be treated like one for tax purposes. This is just an unfortunate, and unexpected outcome. Thing is, this government only protects businesses their chums own.
Think yourself lucky you don't run a pub....

If you start with a contract to your LTD. and before 1st payment someone decides that you're inside, and they then refuse top pay the LTD and want to do PAYE that will put the agency in breach of contract with the PSC. So maybe it will push the agencies to get that SDS beforehand to cover their risk....

that says to me that nobody should start work until they've received the SDS....

your accountant will probably do it for free or a small fee.
They'll scan and email you any letters.
EDIT: you don't have an accountant do you? Mailboxes etc. charge £40 a month so maybe an accountant, who would have told you all this in the first place, would be wise. Mine costs...Last edited by Lance; Yesterday, 17:24.

careful what you wish for
There are plenty that do. Hays, RSG, Capita, Morsons, as examples of the top of my head. They are large enough to run a HR/payroll department. Small agencies want to focus on being oily salesmen.
What makes you think if the agency did your...

I hope to work with a decent BA one day, instead of doing their job for them.
Good luck. Good people are hard to find, and if you're any good I'm sure you'll be successful....

so are you saying that of the two options....
- MVL then startup a new LTD with a slightly different business area
- startup a new LTD with a slightly different business area then MVL the older company
the second reduces the risk of being caught by TAAR?
That's...

Did you join the forum just for this argument? Who's sockie are you?...

aside from the fact that unless you quantify that it's just made up....

And the mining cost impacts transactions not...

thing is. The budget had an announcement of a £100M taskforce to pursue Covid claims. I wouldn't want to be on the spurious end of that.
And claiming as described in this thread, is arguably more dodgy than the loan schemes a decade ago....

I wasn't sure if I misunderstood.
As a point of note. Employer pension contributions do NOT impact gross income either.
They reduce the profit in the company. That may well reduce the amount of cash available for dividends, but that is a secondary consequence, and not always true...

In my experience most BAs are total tulip and have no idea about how a business operates. They are used a lot in the large outsourcers as way to extract as much cash as possible the from the client and not actually provide any useful function.
They should be understanding business processes, improving...
