    Tips of finding overseas contracts?

Hi. Does anyone have any advice on finding contracts based overseas? Anywhere in the world really - although I imagine I will need some sort of visa outside the EU. I just need a short term contract (3-6 months) and could do with a change in scenery.

I've tried the usual job boards but nothing has come up.

About me - software architect in fintech, technology agnostic. 12 years experience. Plenty of good roles in London but have a bit of wanderlust.

    Thanks.

Difficult to get as a one man contractor unless you're lucky.

Try the consultancies though, as they do quite a lot of cross-border work.

I have been getting quite a few enquiries from the below for things all over Europe.

Absolutely no idea of the agency as have never been through them as yet.

      Good luck.

Hint: They're not an agency. They're a consultancy, focused primarily on SAP. Therefore not a lot of use for a fintech software architect.

Ok. You were suggesting trying the consultancies as opposed to agencies in your previous post. As you confirm Info Plus are a consultancy, not sure what had to be Hinted at there.

As to their specialisation, as said, I had no idea as I've not worked through them. I don't have the inside knowledge on what each of the world's 18m agencies specialise in.

I daresay His Northern Gobbiness had something to say about this but as he's on my Ignore list...

If you've been contracting for 12 years, surely some of your agents have been big enough to deal outside the UK? I'd suggest by starting talking to them
Next (again based on the length of your experience), some of your previous clients may have been multi-national, in which case it would be worth your while speaking to your contacts there,
Next, speak to some of the other contractors you've met on site along the way.

Most of my work over the last decade or more has come via existing contacts.

Just about the consistent level of useless/crap advice. That's all

Quoting an ignored poster showed the post previously. I wonder if I quote my own post it will ignore this text but show the original quote even though I'm on ignore?
