Another rubbish night's sleep followed by a failure to get up due to making up lost sleep :(

Couldn't be bothered with much telly tonight; the factory programme about making pencils on Smithsonian, and some police shenanigans whilst dining.
The rain seems to be holding off for the moment...
I'd got twice as many ribs so it took loads longer for the sauce and what-have-you to reduce and bake on properly. But when it finally got there, they'd turned out inordinately well; wonderfully...
Mostly not. This is important junk! :D
Nope :ohwell
Found the recipe I was looking for :)
Exercise bicycling done, green ring closed :emb
I like them; they're big and fruity with an extremely sticky glaze on top :)
Afternoon snack of a toasted teacake with lashings of butter :tongue
And they're big Sainsbury's TTD ones, so that frees up a tad more space in the freezer. Every little helps! :)
Stressed out because the landlord has managed to get some grant for putting central heating in the flat. A surveyor's coming on Thursday to work out the details. As it will presumably involve taking...
I've got a gammon joint that supposedly needs to be used by Thursday. But I'm pretty sure gammon, being cured, is one of those things that can safely be pushed a few days past its use-by date....
Inevitably, lunch has been zingy chicken, tomato and lentil soup with wholemeal bread :tongue

Cloudy out but 11°C and the rain has stopped for now; 990/998mB on the clock :ind
Rubbish night's sleep then, inevitably, when I decided I might as well get up, I...
Bron/Broen S3E4 on the box tonight :bluelight
Rain seems to have settled in for the night :frown
Goodnight all  :tired
Teeming down here now :frown
Tea has been ribs and chips :tongue
This means there's now space for one portion of the ribs I'll be making tomorrow
Different sauce tomorrow though; I remembered to get some of that...
Sadly not :(
Ages ago I bought a big box of labels from Staples, not because I really needed them for anything in particular, but because I have no impulse control in a stationery shop. So I'm gradually working...
I label my soups and stews, but turnover is generally rapid enough that it's not an issue. One advantage of it not being very big, I suppose
It's absolutely jam packed in there already, but I can find a bit of space by doing things like taking frozen meat out of the plastic containers full of space it comes in and vacuum-packing it...
Soup divvied up. Six generous helpings :tongue
No idea how I'll fit it in the freezer :laugh
Still, one is lunch tomorrow and the rest'll be fine in the fridge for a few days before freezing if...
:eek
Good luck!
It is odd. I assured her the old card was still valid as I was still using it (I hadn't even opened the envelope with the new one yet and wasn't absolutely certain that was what it was) so she tried...
Walk briskly walked, green ring closed :emb
I figured I'd get it out of the way before Storm Zarg The Merciless (or whatever it's called this time) moves in and rains continuously on us for the...
There's this 124-page document: https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.225699/gov.uscourts.dcd.225699.1.0_3.pdf
It starts
…You get the gist
I did hear of a woman who tried to vote in person after already submitting a postal ballot, and another who tried to vote using a dead person's details. Both of them were caught before being able to...
Bloody car insurance told me they hadn't been able to take my money and were going to charge me a £30 late fee. It turns out their computer refuses to use a debit card that expires the same month as...
Soup still a-making and I decided I didn't want to wait any longer, so lunch has been the last of the Scottish sausage rolls :tongue
This also means the soup gets a chance to mature in the fridge...

Do you mean the allegations of vote fraud that resulted in around sixty court cases throughout the USA, all of which but one they lost because they were unable to present any evidence of vote fraud?...
Had to quickly check, but I haven't already posted that version. Phew! :)
Lunch will be late today; the remains of the Big Chicken and assorted veg are now turning into stock in the InstantPot™ and will then form the base of zingy chicken, tomato and lentil soup :)
Links are up :)
If you repost these to your ClientCo's online chat system, it'll keep them all so distracted they won't notice you're also spending the afternoon reading them instead of working ;)
The...
Morning denizens
Grey day out again, currently 4°C but expected to rise to 6° this afternoon, then soar to 10° by sunrise tomorrow :ind
Barometers: 1010/1018mB.
Bit of an unsettled...
No telly tonight, other than the usual police nonsense whilst eating.
Goodnight all  :tired
Chicken and chips for tea, with lashings of red sauce :tongue
Phil Spectre :)
Try racing up and down The Mall at 70mph for an hour or so, that should sort it out :)
Hope she's OK!
Afternoon denizens
Grey but mild out, 6°C and forecast to soar to 7° Real Soon Now (then de-soar), 1014/1022mB on the barometers :ind
Capuchin rescue going on on Monkey World :)
Tonight's major movie premiere was National Treasure (2004) which was pretty good actually; pure hokum, but none the worse for that :)
And then a rewatch of Molly's Game (2017), which is also...
And very nice it was as always :tongue
Busyness status: bit of a rush being dealt with when I arrived :)
In the Chinese :)
I'm hoping I get the one with Flight Simulator :)
Just tried one of the Scottish sausage rolls cold, and they're very nice that way too :tongue
KUATB :D
You should follow her advice from 2012:

Phew what a scorcher! It's a sizzling 8°C out there today, though overcast. No more rain after last night's deluge; barometric readings are 1004 and 1012mB :)
