Does anyone here bother with advertising?

I've just started my campaign; I know 5 contracts in the bag and advertising I must be getting greedy...

I don't understand how Google makes its Billions. Has anyone ever looked at never mind clicked on any of their ads?

I received a cheque from Google recently for clickies on my sites so some people obviously do.

Just started advertising my other Plan B on Facebook - they offer a similar system to Google. Dont use Facebook myself but am getting a lot of clickthroughs via them as just users who have expressed certain interests can be targeted eg 'show this ad to all users who say they like gardening'.

              Google clicks are good money.

Just don't use you Google advert account on a website people here know about... (You have been warned)
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

I have made some money from google ads, although not enough to keep me In the style to which Dim Prawn has become accustomed to.

Plan B's initial revenue stream will be google ads, I am expecting (from evidence) 1 million clicks per day.

Be very carful on Facebook adverts.

There are lots (and I mean lots), of groups on Facebook dedicated to getting adverts off Facebook, loads of people on there just click on every advert they see in order to waste advertisors money and put them off advertising.
A company I know wen from 30 - 800 visitors a month from people doing just that. Cost them about 50 quid in clicks.
