    Anyone massively into 3d printing?

    I was wondering if there are people on here into 3d printing professionally or as enthusiasts.

    Any advice on :-
    1) good quality 3d printers to home diy projects
    2) Very good quality printers with top quality results?. ones that can be used to print for others ....

    Thanks

    When a 3D printer can print itself they become the game changer they are claimed to be.

      You'll have much more fun with a laser cutter.

            Stopped reading at the first mention of "bicycle".

              Snapmaker 2.0: Modular 3-in-1 3D Printers by Snapmaker — Kickstarter

              Looks pretty impressive.

                Bit of a price difference. You can get a pretty sizable laser cutter for 10K. And use it in your spare room !

                  Printing stuff becomes normal

                  <hiatus>

                  Turns out one of my mates does 3d printing.

                  He's just printed some blaster thing out of "The Orville", this being a non ST version of ST which is, apparently, rather better than the tulipe that ST has recently become*.

                  *Presumably due to the complete lack of GALs, I would imagine.

                    I got the creality ender 3 pro from Ali express for £174.

                    I did a few prints which were not bad considering I did not have the patience to tweak it.

                    Now I just have lo learn how to use Autocad/Fusion 360
