    New wording for contracts

Do we need new names for working?

Contracting - Outside IR35 roles provided via a Limited Company Contractor
Temping - Inside IR35 roles worked as an employee of an Umbrella / Agency / Client
    Permanent - Directly employed

Would make all those job boards / filters easier to work with?

What about inside IR35 roles that are on client/agency payroll? They aren't permanent, as that term implies benefits of perm which one wouldn't be in receipt of.

Also, you can be outside IR35 but choose to work via an umbrella

Umbrella = employed = IR35 is irrelevant. Unless you were making a joke that I'm too dense to get...

            2 doesn't follow one.

IR35 and SDC are very relevant for getting expenses from an umbrella..

How? SDC yes, but IR35? It simply doesn't apply once you're a fully PAYE employee, whether of an umbrella company or not.

Funny that Jobserve has just done a redesign of most screens but as far as I can tell hasn't made any changes to accomodate these new terms. Might be nice to have the IR35 status as part of the metadata for each role.

A contract inside IR35 means you are subject to SDC so you can stop the decision making process immediately
