Carmichael UK are working with a Tier 1 joint venture to recruit an experienced Sub Agent with earthworks experience on the HS2 project in Northamptonshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage complex reinforced concrete and structural packages on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure schemes.
You’ll take ownership of planning, coordination, and delivery of your section.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage the delivery of structural works including RC bridges, culverts, viaducts, and retaining walls
Produce and maintain 3–6 month lookahead programmes
Liaise with design teams and manage technical queries
Lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring performance and safety standards
Oversee temporary works coordination, RAMS, and permits
Ensure quality assurance records, ITPs, and as-builts are completed and stored correctly
Identify and close out NCRs
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness
Requirements:
Proven experience delivering structural works on major civil engineering projects
Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Strong planning, leadership, and communication skills
SMSTS, CSCS, and Temporary Works knowledge
HS2 or similar Tier 1 infrastructure experience preferred
