Integrated Photonics (temporary assignment) The candidate will work on integrated photonic design, modeling and layout in technologies such as Silicon or SiN photonics. The assignmentThe candidate will do integrated photonic design, modeling and layout to support the various projects the group is involved in, using imec photonic technologies such as Si or SiN.Interaction with team members and project management, as well as with characterisation and process responsible.Good reporting and documenting of work.Required knowledge and skillsBackground in integrated photonic design, especially silicon photonics or SiN.Modeling with software such as Lumerical, IPKISS, Cadence, MATLAB, Python.Layout of photonic circuits with Cadence or IPKISS.Knowledge of integrated system modeling, including source and detector noise.A background in dispersion and wavelength dependent design (AWG) will be a plus, as will knowledge of IPKISS AWG designer module.Duration of the assignmentAssignment until end of 2021
