Java Developer X 5 Global Markets IT Glasgow Investment Banking

Java Developers required for the Strategic buildout of the bank s Glasgow office for Global Markets IT.

Required Skills:-

Java Serverside development - minimum 8 years experience of professional development.

Relational database

Understanding of design patterns

Experience in working with high frequency/low latency data processing systems

Experience with high volume data processing systems

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Understanding algorithm complexity

Experience in designing and developing low latency, high performance applications

Desired Skills :-

Understanding of Financial/Capital Markets Sector

Hands-on experience with messaging platforms (Solace, MQ)

Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux

Agile/XP development experience including test driven development

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of the globally distributed development team

Application development and support

Ensure code/design quality

Automated tests development

Production rollout and support

Code/functionality documentation

Inside IR35 ; approximately 50% Remote and 50% Glasgow Office.
