SC RF Project Engineer

Location: Portsmouth- required a couple of days a week in office, may need to attend meetings in London, Andover

Start: ASAP

Initial End Date: 31/3/2023

IR35: in scope

Rate: £700-800/day

Experience:

* Radio Frequency, data networking, infrastructure and protocols and exposure to maritime environment

* Extensive experience in the high-level conceptual design of complex digital communications and C2 systems.

* Extensive experience of a wide range of digital technologies, including networking methods and techniques and RF communications.

* Extensive knowledge of in-service communications capabilities, across the RF spectrum, in the maritime domain.

* Understanding of cloud is useful, this requires detailed architect of the whole structure

* The focus more towards physical networks

* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and coordinate at all levels across the client, academia, and Industry. An ability to communicate complex messages to a range of specialists, non-specialists, civilian and military personnel.

* Experience of managing relationships with stakeholders effectively, maintaining their confidence and the ability to influence.

* Ability to work unsupervised, exercising judgement and good organisational skills.

Experience - Desirable

* Experience of employment of autonomous systems.

* An understanding of future capabilities being delivered in support of the maritime domain.

* Strategic Radio Services in support of the maritime domain.

* An understanding of operational risk assessment and capability planning methodologies, particularly alignment of capabilities to strategic objectives.

* Experience in the application and use of project/programme control processes and methodologies, particularly in a complex environment.
