Are you an experienced Turnaround Contracts Engineer seeking an engaging opportunity? Belcan is offering a dynamic 24-month contract role with a multinational oil and gas corporation based near Southampton, Hampshire. This full-time position, falling under Inside of IR35 regulations and will be site-based.
Position Description:
As a Turnaround Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and implementing Contracting Strategies for a portfolio of Turnaround services contracts. You will interface with procurement, technical/operations resources, and Contractor commercial/management teams.
Major Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement contracting strategies to maximize commercial value and benefit.
* Own the Contracting Strategy for a portfolio of contract services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and site priorities.
* Act as the focal point of contact to Procurement throughout the contract lifecycle, from tender preparation to contract implementation.
* Lead the management of change for the implementation of new site contracts.
Position Dimensions:
* The scope of your contract portfolio will be determined by business objectives and site requirements.
* You will be responsible for a portfolio of contracts of varying degrees of criticality/complexity and different trades.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Development of contracting strategies delivering commercial advantage.
* Completion of Tender and Implementation in line with the defined timeline/Procurement Implementation Plan (PIP).
* Customer satisfaction results regarding contract structure (fit for purpose).
* Cost savings/value-added initiatives.
Required Qualifications/Competencies:
* Influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
* Strategic thinking, decision-making, and business judgment.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Technical/contract writing skills.
* Adaptability to changing priorities and time constraints.
* Safety, Security, and Controls awareness.
* Project management capabilities.
* Working knowledge of maintenance & turnaround contract technical disciplines.
* Good knowledge of the Purchase to Pay process and associated controls.
