Terms of Service

Last updated 7 November 2026

1. Who we are

ContractorUK Websites is provided by Rocky-Messissi Ltd, trading as ContractorUK ("we", "us").

Rocky-Messissi Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16464554.
Registered office: Unit 36 Silk Mill Industrial Estate, Brook Street, Tring, HP23 5EF.
VAT number GB493717161.
Email: marketing@contractoruk.com

These terms apply when you build a site with us, start a trial or pay for a plan. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your data.

2. Who can use it

The service is for businesses: limited companies and sole traders buying for their business. You must be at least 18. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.

3. What you get

We build a WordPress website for your business from what you tell us, and host it while you subscribe. The service includes the site builder, hosting, a secure (https) address, search basics (page titles, descriptions and structured data), and a domain as set out below. We use a website platform provider to build and host sites.

Your domain. When you keep your site on the paid plan, we register one new domain for your business and pay for its first year. It can end in .co.uk, .uk or .com, and must be available to register at the registrar's standard price, up to £15 for the first year. Premium names, names someone else already owns or is selling, and other endings are not included. The domain is registered in your business's name, so it stays yours if you cancel. After the first year you can renew it through us at cost, or move it to another provider. You can also connect a domain you already own instead.

Search. We set your site up to be found by search engines, but no one can guarantee where it will rank, and we don't.

4. The free first build

  • Your first build is free. You get a trial site for 7 days and we do not take payment for it.
  • To keep the site after the trial, choose the monthly plan before the trial ends.
  • If you don't, the trial site is taken offline and may be deleted, with its content.

5. Price and payment

  • The plan is £49 a month, including VAT, paid monthly in advance by card. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • There is no setup fee and no minimum term.
  • We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email. You can cancel before the change starts.
  • If a payment fails, we will email you. If it is still unpaid 7 days later, we may take the site offline until it is paid.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing us. Your site stays online until the end of the month you have paid for, then it is taken offline. We do not refund part months. After that we may delete the site and its content, so save anything you want to keep before the end of your last paid month.

7. What your site says is your responsibility

  • You own the content you give us and the text on your site.
  • Our builder uses AI to write and design pages from your answers. It is told to use only what you give it and to mark anything else as an example for you to replace. AI can still get things wrong.
  • You must read every page before you publish it, and you are responsible for everything your published site says, including that what it says about your experience, clients and results is true.
  • You must not use the service for anything unlawful, misleading or infringing, or for spam, malware or adult content. We may take down a site that breaks this rule.
  • You give us permission to host, copy and display your content as needed to run the service.

8. Your company details

UK law requires a company website to show the company's registered name, number and office. Your site's footer has a place for them on every page. Filling them in before you publish, and keeping them correct, is your responsibility.

9. Keeping the service running

We aim to keep sites online and fast, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. We may change or improve features. If we ever stop offering the service, we will give you at least 60 days' notice.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profits, business, contracts or data, or for indirect loss. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that period.

11. Your visitors' data

If your site collects personal data from its visitors, for example through its contact form, you control that data and we process it for you. We process it only to run your site and keep it confidential. Our providers process it under written terms. We help you answer requests from your visitors about their data, tell you without undue delay about a breach that affects it, and delete it when your subscription ends.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
