As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging, structured lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where applicable). Whether you want to teach strictly within your subject specialism or provide general cover across different departments, this role offers total control over your schedule - whether you prefer daily supply, full-time cover, or a balanced work pattern around other commitments.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering pre-planned lessons in line with curriculum standards and school policies
Teaching your specialist subject or adapting quickly to general cover classes
Managing classroom behaviour positively and maintaining a focused learning atmosphere
Supporting pupil progress, engagement, and overall well-being
Building strong professional relationships with pupils, departmental staff, and leadership teams
Adhering strictly to safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all timesWhat You Need
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
The ability to manage behaviour effectively
A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate
A flexible and adaptable approach to different school environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsDesirable:
Subject specialism in core or high-demand curriculum areas
Confidence delivering general cover outside your core subject when required
