Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Schools Across East Kent

Are you an experienced HLTA, Cover Supervisor, or a qualified Teacher looking for a better work-life balance? We are currently recruiting dedicated and adaptable individuals to support our specialist SEN schools across East Kent.

Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, we are seeking enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role - HLTA

Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD and Complex Needs.
Provide classroom support on both a day-to-day supply and long-term basis.
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across a variety of specialist settings.
Promote a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

We Welcome Applications From:

Experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs)
Cover Supervisors with classroom experience
Individuals with SEN or specialist school experience
Qualified Teachers looking to step away from the additional responsibilities of a full teaching role while remaining in education

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous HLTA experience OR working with children or young people in an educational setting.
Be confident managing classroom behaviour and leading small groups or whole classes.
Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
Be flexible, reliable and able to travel across East Kent.
