Overview

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Junior Office Administrator to join our team supporting railway projects. This is an entry-level position suited to someone who is organised, eager to learn, and confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide general administrative support to the office and project teams.

* Maintain accurate records and filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.

* Input, update, and maintain data using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

* Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and documents as required.

* Answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and direct enquiries appropriately.

* Scan, print, copy, and file project documentation.

* Assist with document control and ensure records are up to date.

* Schedule meetings and maintain office calendars where required.

* Order office supplies and maintain stock levels.

* Support the wider team with general administrative duties and other tasks as required.

Requirements

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

* Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.

* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude.

* Willingness to learn and develop within the business.

Desirable

* Previous office administration experience (preferred but not essential).

* Experience working in a construction, engineering, or railway environment is beneficial but not required.
