Caretaker
Location: Croydon
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join a leading social housing provider in Croydon.
This is a varied role where you will be responsible for maintaining communal areas, carrying out general caretaking duties, and supporting housing teams with day-to-day tasks. A company vehicle will be provided, and you will be required to drive between sites and complete errands as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of communal areas.
Carrying out basic health and safety checks.
Reporting maintenance issues and repairs.
Assisting with property inspections and access arrangements.
Removing fly-tipping and litter from communal spaces where required.
Transporting materials, equipment, and documents between sites.
Running errands on behalf of the housing team using a company vehicle.
Providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or similar role preferred.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
Reliable, organised, and proactive approach to work.
Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
