Setting Out Engineer

TLG Infrastructure are currently recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to work for a civil engineering contractor specialising in groundworks, RC and infrastructure packages for Tier 1 clients.

They have recently secured a project with a value over £30M, which will offer long term work for a Setting Out Engineer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Set out groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) works to approved drawings.
Carry out accurate setting out for foundations, drainage, slabs, walls, columns, and other structural elements.
Check levels, dimensions, and coordinates before work starts.
Produce as-built surveys and maintain accurate site records.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Work closely with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Identify and report any drawing or site discrepancies.
Ensure work is completed to the required quality standards and tolerances.
Use surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and digital levels.
Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is correctly calibrated.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
