Skilled Careers are currently recruiting for Traffic Marshall in Corby NN17 to start Friday 10/07/2026 until Tuesday 21/07/2026 on a commercial site.

£17.50 per hour

Traffic Marshall Requirements:

Must hold a valid CSCS Card

CPCS/NPORS Traffic Marshall Card

Must be able to provide references from previous employers

Valid ID (right-to-work documentation required upon hire)

Full PPE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Traffic Marshall to oversee vehicle and pedestrian movement on construction sites or other operational areas. The ideal candidate will ensure safety protocols are adhered to, facilitate smooth traffic flow, and communicate effectively with team members and visitors. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to site safety and efficiency.

Duties:

Direct vehicles and pedestrians to designated areas, ensuring safe and efficient movement

Monitor entry and exit points, checking for proper credentials or permits where necessary

Communicate clearly with drivers, visitors, and site personnel using effective communication skills

Enforce site safety rules and procedures at all times

Assist with general site organisation, including guiding lorries and delivery vehicles

Maintain records of vehicle movements and incidents as required

Report any safety concerns or irregularities to site management promptly

Experience:

Previous experience in construction or traffic management is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Valid driving licence is preferred to assist with vehicle movements on-site

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and remain alert throughout shifts

Organised with good attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to safety protocols
