Proactive are urgently recruiting for Cable Assembly Operative to works in our busy cable department assembling data and power cables to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities include:
Carry out the cable assembly process, including soldering, as instructed by following printed assembly instruction documents
Carry out custom labelling of cable assembly products as instructed by supervisor and by following printed custom label instruction documents
Carry out quality control of cable assemblies following written instructional documents
Advise Cable Lead of any broken, incomplete parts, as well as inconsistencies/safety hazards.
Transport connectors and cables from warehouse to assembly area
Stack/organize completed cable assemblies per work order or sales order
Test all cables and place individual tested labels on "main" cablesSkills/Requirements
Good working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, basic connectivity issues and assembly concepts
Soldering skills
Cable assembly experience
Electrical assembly experience
Electronic assembly experience
Experience working with electrical connectors, cable, or wires
Familiarity with the use of hand tools - especially electrical hand tools (wire cutters, wire strippers, connector crimp tools etc)Hours: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Friday
Location: Southall, UB2
Rate : £13 holiday accrued or £14.50 Holiday paid
