Level 6 Early Years Practitioner

Are you a passionate and qualified Level 6 Early Years Practitioner looking for your next opportunity?

Empowering Learning is currently recruiting a Level 6 Early Years Support Practitioner to join a welcoming and diverse primary school in Newham for a September 2026 start. This is a long-term role for the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position.

Working within the Reception class, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development and well being. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality early years provision, helping to create an engaging, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive. The role also involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure every child receives the support they need.

The Role

Support the planning and delivery of high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Work alongside the class teacher to promote children's learning, development and independence.
Provide targeted support for children with SEND, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
Observe, assess and contribute to children's learning and development records.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
Demonstrate initiative while working effectively as part of a collaborative team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

A Level 6 qualification in Early Years (essential).
Proven experience working within an Early Years setting.
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Experience supporting children with SEND.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, caring and professional approach.
A commitment to supporting children to achieve their full potential.
