SEN Teaching Assistant - East London

Remedy Education are working with a fantastic SEN school based in East London who are looking for strong and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join them from September 2026.

The school supports students with severe autism, complex needs and communication difficulties. They offer a creative, hands-on and highly supportive learning environment, giving pupils the structure, care and encouragement they need to thrive.

This role is ideal for someone who does not just want to turn up and do the basics. The school need Teaching Assistants who are proactive, resilient and genuinely passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with SEN.

The Role:

* Supporting students with severe autism and complex needs
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day
* Helping students develop communication, social and life skills
* Supporting sensory activities, creative learning and structured routines
* Managing challenging behaviour calmly and confidently
* Providing personal care when required
* Encouraging independence, confidence and emotional regulation
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff

The Ideal Candidate:

* Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
* Is active, energetic and confident in a busy SEN setting
* Has experience with autism, complex needs or challenging behaviour
* Is patient, resilient, caring and consistent
* Is reliable, committed and able to build strong relationships with pupils
* Is willing to go above and beyond for the students
* Has a genuine passion for helping young people progress

Start Date: September 2026
Position: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £100-£120
