Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's educational journey?

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Blackpool from September. This role will involve providing dedicated support to a pupil in Key Stage 1, helping them to access learning, develop socially, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide individual support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
Support the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supporting children with SEN, either in a school, nursery, care, or support setting.
Is patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with children.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Possesses an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
