Main Responsibilities

Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
Supporting the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development.
Implementing strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals.
Adapting learning activities to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
Encouraging independence while offering appropriate guidance and reassurance.
Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil to promote engagement and confidence.
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
Supporting positive behaviour using consistent and nurturing approaches.
Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil.
Assisting with personal care where required (if applicable).About You

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), either in a school or similar setting.
A calm, positive, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Confidence in adapting to the individual needs of the child and responding flexibly throughout the day.
