About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a high-achieving Primary school in Newham. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to support children during the crucial early years of their education within a warm, inclusive and nurturing school environment.
Working alongside the class teacher and wider EYFS team, you will play a key role in delivering engaging learning experiences, supporting children's academic, social and emotional development, and helping to create a positive and stimulating classroom where every child can thrive.

Main Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative EYFS lessons and activities.
Work with individuals and small groups to develop early literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Encourage children's independence, confidence and positive behaviour through consistent support and praise.
Help to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
Observe children's progress and contribute to assessments and learning records where required.
Support children with their personal, social and emotional development throughout the school day.
Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents, contributing to the school's inclusive and caring ethos.
Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.About You

Previous experience working with children in an EYFS or primary school setting is desirable.
A genuine passion for supporting young children during the early stages of their education.
A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
A proactive attitude with the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the classroom.
