Warehouse Operatives
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our clients team based in Rotherham. This is a manual, hands-on role supporting the efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished goods over 2 sites, while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and housekeeping.
🔹 The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
* Safely operating a forklift truck and VNA truck in a busy warehouse environment
* Consolidating and preparing customer orders accurately
* Palletising, banding, and moving stock into racking
* Safe loading and unloading of HGV deliveries and containers
* Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards in the warehouse
🔹 About You
* A current Forklift & VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) truck licence
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment
* Sufficient physical fitness to undertake manual handling tasks
* Strong accuracy and numeracy skills for order handling
* Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices
* Reliability, good timekeeping, and a proactive approach to work
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
* Willingness to develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities
🔹 Shift Patterns
* 3 shift rotation (Days, Nights and Afters)
* Days: 5:45am – 2pm
* Afters: 1:45pm – 10pm
* Nights: 9:45pm – 6am
🔹 Pay Rates as a Warehouse Operative
* Starting at £12.71 per hour – Rising to £13.58 after training (approx 4 weeks)
