Teaching Assistant - Graduate Opportunity - September 2026

Teaching Assistant required for a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Ealing from September 2026.

This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a motivated graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a career in education. The position is Monday to Friday, 5 days per week, and is expected to last for approximately one term, with a strong possibility of being extended for the right candidate.

The school is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who can support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them achieve their full academic potential while contributing to a positive learning environment.

About the Role

Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

September 2026 start.

Initial one-term contract with excellent potential for extension.

Work alongside experienced teachers and support staff.

Provide academic and pastoral support to students across a range of subjects.

Assist with classroom preparation, learning activities and interventions.

Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence.

Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups where required.

Responsibilities

Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons.

Help students overcome barriers to learning.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback where appropriate.

Promote positive behaviour and classroom routines.

Assist with administrative tasks linked to teaching and learning.

Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

Requirements

A degree from a Russell Group University is essential.

Passion for education and supporting young people.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential.
