We are looking for a Scaleway Portal Engineer to build and maintain a customer-facing web portal that provisions and manages infrastructure on Scaleway. You will work across the frontend and backend of the portal, integrating deeply with the Scaleway API to expose resource management, billing, and account features to end users in a fast, reliable, and well-designed interface
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
Design and build features for a customer portal that manages Scaleway resources (Instances, Kubernetes, Storage, Databases, networking) via the Scaleway API.
Develop responsive, accessible frontend interfaces (React/TypeScript) for provisioning, monitoring, and account management.
Build and maintain backend services (Node.js, Go, or Python) that wrap and orchestrate calls to the Scaleway API.
Implement authentication, authorisation, and role-based access control (RBAC) for portal users.
Integrate billing, usage, and quota data into the portal experience.
Write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to keep the portal reliable as it evolves.
Collaborate with design/product to translate requirements into clean, usable UI.
Monitor portal performance and error rates; troubleshoot production issues.
Maintain API documentation and internal developer docs for the portal codebase.Required Skills/Experience:
3+ years building production web applications (frontend and/or full-stack).
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, with hands-on React experience.
Experience building and consuming REST APIs; comfortable working with the Scaleway API or a comparable cloud provider API (AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean).
Backend experience in Node.js, Go, or Python.
Solid understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT, API keys).
Experience with Git-based workflows and code review.
Comfortable writing automated tests and working in a CI/CD pipeline.Desirable Skills/Experience:
Direct prior experience with the Scaleway Console, CLI, or SDKs.
Experience with design systems or component libraries.
GraphQL experience.
Familiarity with cloud billing/usage metering systems.
Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment of the portal itself.
