We are working with an established MEP contractor specialising in commercial fit-out projects, who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee a team of Project Managers delivering projects across London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who is ready to take the next step into Contracts Management, or an established Contracts Manager looking for a new challenge.
Projects typically range from £200k to £1.5m, predominantly within the commercial office fit-out sector.
The Role
As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will oversee a team of Mechanical Project Managers, providing support and direction across multiple live commercial fit-out projects.
You will retain overall responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme, whilst acting as a senior point of contact for clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee a team of Mechanical Project Managers.

Provide leadership, guidance and technical support across multiple projects.
*
Oversee commercial fit-out projects ranging from £200k – £1.5m.
*
Monitor project programmes, budgets and commercial performance.
*
Ensure projects are delivered to programme, specification and client expectations.
*
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
*
Attend client and project meetings.
*
Review project progress and identify commercial, technical and programme risks.
*
Support Project Managers with procurement and subcontractor management.
*
Oversee variations, valuations, applications and final accounts.
*
Ensure high standards of health & safety and quality are maintained.
*
Mentor and develop Project Managers within the business.
*
Work closely with the senior management team to ensure successful project delivery.
About You

Strong commercial and contractual awareness.

Excellent client and subcontractor management skills.

The ability to manage and support multiple Project Managers.

A desire to progress into a senior management position.
