Contract: Long-term Temporary with Potential for Permanent Appointment

An inclusive Birmingham primary school is looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to join its established specialist resource provision.

The provision supports children with significant and complex learning needs through small-group, highly individualised teaching. Pupils access an adapted curriculum incorporating EQUALS, EYFS and National Curriculum approaches, depending on their developmental stage.

For pupils with the highest level of need, learning has a strong focus on sensory experiences, communication, foundational skills and independence, supported by high levels of adult support and specialist resources.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver highly personalised learning around pupils' individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
Deliver appropriate pre-formal and semi-formal learning.
Create meaningful sensory and practical learning experiences.
Support communication, emotional regulation and independence.
Lead and work closely with experienced SEND support staff.
Assess progress from individual starting points and adapt provision accordingly.What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous experience teaching high-needs SEND children.
Experience within a special school, SEN unit or resource base is strongly preferred.
Confidence adapting curriculum expectations for pupils working significantly below age-related expectations.
