KS1 & KS2 Tutor

Help Young Learners Build Confidence and Thrive

We're looking for a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across Hampshire through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision or additional help to access learning. Many pupils benefit from a patient, nurturing approach that helps develop core skills, increase confidence, and encourage positive engagement with education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners and make a lasting impact during an important stage of their educational journey.

Key Stages: KS1 & KS2
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
Experience supporting primary-aged children
Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
SEN experience desirable
Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire

You'll work with children who may have a range of additional needs, including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Anxiety and school avoidance
Speech, language, and communication needs
EHCPs and additional educational needsEvery learner is unique, so tutors should be comfortable adapting their approach to suit individual strengths, interests, and learning styles.
