We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a long-term civils project in Bishop Auckland.
The project involves a range of ducting, concrete and drainage works, and we are looking for a Site Manager with a strong background in civil engineering and the ability to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day activities on site
Overseeing ducting, drainage and concrete works
Managing subcontractors, labour and site operatives
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
Coordinating site activities and sequencing works effectively
Conducting regular quality and safety inspections
Briefing and monitoring RAMS
Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers and subcontractors
Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress
Identifying and resolving any issues that could affect programme or quality
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering
Strong experience across ducting, drainage and concrete works
Ability to manage multiple site activities and subcontractors
Strong understanding of health & safety requirements

Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of site delivery
