Assembly Operative
Location: Coventry
Salary: £18.27 per hour (£39,000 per annum once permanent)
Contract Type: 12-Week Temp to Perm
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Empowered Personnel are recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a busy manufacturing company based in Coventry. This is a physically demanding and varied role, offering the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
Working as part of a small production team, you will play a key role in the assembly, finishing and preparation of bespoke products, whilst maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Skills and Experience Required
• Previous experience working as an Assembly Operative within a manufacturing or assembly environment is
essential. Applications without this experience will not be considered.
• Must be physically fit and capable of safely lifting and handling heavy or bulky materials throughout the working
day.
• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable.
• Confident using hand and air tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Good problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
• Adaptable and able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Handling, lifting and assembling heavy materials and products.
• Preparing, packing and palletising orders for despatch.
• Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks on components and finished products.
• Monitoring and maintaining stock levels in line with production requirements.
• Using hand and air tools, including paint guns, grinders and impact drivers.
• Reporting any faults or defects with products, tools or machinery to management.
• Assisting colleagues across various stages of the production process as required.
• Carrying out general production duties as required.

• £18.27 per hour, increasing to £39,000 per annum once permanent.
