Science Teacher – Nottingham (QTS Required)

Pay Rate: £130–£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Qualification: QTS required
Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK secondary school
Overview:
Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Science educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially specialist Science KS5. Nottingham partner schools feature state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and strong university link programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Science curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham
* Plan, prepare, and assess Combined and Specialist Science lessons in line with CLEAPSS safety standards
* Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
* Contribute to Science department improvement planning
* Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching Science experience in a UK secondary setting
* Is passionate about Science education and student achievement
* Has excellent behaviour management, practical laboratory safety skills, and communication skills
* Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
