General Operative – Swanley / BR8 8GA

Rates: £12.75 PAYE / £15 CIS / £16.93 Umbrella

CSCS: Not required
We’re looking for 1 x General Operative to join a long-term opportunity working across damaged properties around the Swanley area.
The role will mainly involve content cleaning, moving furniture and other general manual labour in properties affected by fire or flooding.
You’ll also be using a tablet/computer provided by the client to:
List and record contents from properties
Assess situations and identify what needs to be done
Record information accurately on the tablet
Explain situations and information clearly to the client’s team and customers
Support the general operation on site
You don’t need to be a computer expert, but you must be comfortable using a tablet/computer and have a basic understanding of assessing situations and explaining things clearly.
What we're looking for:
Good level of spoken and written English – B2/C1 level required
Reliable and punctual
Polite and professional when dealing with customers
Comfortable using tablets/computers
Able to assess situations and communicate clearly
Physically fit and happy with manual work
Must live close to BR8 8GA
No CSCS card required
You’ll be travelling with the client’s Manager to various sites around the Swanley area, so reliability and good communication are important.
Pay Rates:
£12.75 PAYE – paid through our payroll, with tax and National Insurance deducted automatically.
£15.00 CIS – paid through the Construction Industry Scheme, with the required tax deduction made at source.
£16.93 Umbrella – this is the assignment rate paid to the umbrella company. The umbrella company then pays you through PAYE, with tax, National Insurance, pension (where applicable) and other applicable deductions taken before payment.
⏰ 40 hours per week available, with the opportunity for long-term work for the right candidate.
