About this job

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting an enthusiastic teacher of PE, to work in a secondary school in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will have a desire to improve student standards and want to share their own creative ideas and experience. The role will commence as a short term supply arrangement - it will also involve planning of other lessons and subject but resources are provided.

You will ideally have at least 2 years teaching experience in PE, although ECT's are welcome to apply.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain classroom experience and support the learning journey of students in art you will:

Be in control of your working week
Gain experience in a variety of different settings
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
Support students in completing tasks and maintaining their focus.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
Who wants to help schools and students alike, to achieve their goals
Is confident in managing groups of students across various year groups and subjects.
Holds a degree or equivalent experience in a teaching setting.
Previous experience of teaching PE in a school setting.
Strong passion for the arts and inspiring students Is highly organised, motivated and driven to succeed
Is a specialist in PE with the ability to teach all sports including netball, gymnastics, dance, football, fitness, rounders and athletics
Is a team member who will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the progress of students
Ideally has a proven track record of achieving outstanding results at GCSE sport
