Van Driver – Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver for one of our established clients based in Tewkesbury.
This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent following a successful temporary period.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering products to customers across the UK, with routes typically involving 13–17 deliveries across up to 7 locations.
Some routes can cover significant distances, with drivers potentially travelling around 300 miles per day.
The products can be bulky and awkward to handle, so you will need to be physically capable and comfortable with manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely driving a van/Sprinter on nationwide delivery routes
* Completing approximately 13–17 deliveries per day
* Delivering to multiple locations depending on the route
* Loading and unloading products safely
* Using a PDA/scanning system to manage deliveries
* Capturing accurate proof of delivery
* Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
* Completing vehicle checks
* Following company health & safety procedures
The Ideal Candidate
You will ideally have:
* Recent commercial van driving or delivery experience
* Experience regularly driving vans or Sprinters
* Previous multi-drop delivery experience
* Experience using PDA/scanning systems and proof of delivery
* A clean driving licence or satisfactory endorsement history
* The physical ability to safely handle bulky products
* A professional and presentable approach
* Reliability and flexibility around early starts
* Previous experience with companies such as Yodel, FedEx, Arrow or similar would be beneficial
Hours
Monday to Friday
Start times will vary depending on the route, typically between 5:15am and 7:30am.
Working days are generally around 10 hours, with approximately 9.5 hours of working time.
Temp to Perm
This position is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, providing the opportunity to secure a permanent position after a successful temporary period.
